The Very Special Bengal Cat | Top of the Hill Bengals

Having a bengal is not like having a regular cat. The breed was originated by crossing the wild exotic Asian Leopard with the domistic abbysinian cat. The outcome turned out to be VERY intelligent, active, social, inquisative and fun kitty. Out of personal experience I can only say this....A Bengal is very much like a dog...It often learn how to fetch and walk on a leach. It is very social and loves to hang out with you at all times.

They are also very talkative and like to play in the water. If car trips are a positive experiences, dont be surprized if your bengal rush to the car and jumps in as soon as you open the door. They are also very smart and can easily figure out how to open doors and cabinets. Your bengal will love hights so you can count on them watching you from above from your highest shelves and ledges in your home. Bengals are VERY social.

If you want an animal that is going to be quiet, mellow and independent DON'T get a bengal. They do NOT at all like do be alone. Most often they love kids and other animals. If you work all day, make sure to get another animal to keep your bengal company. Bengals natrually litter train as soon as they start eating.

They seem to have a strong need to cover up their feces  so they natrually go to their litter box. Your new bengal will be your and your familys companion for its life time if you are ready for an addition that likes to be seen and heard.
